Desperate to find a way to save the earth from pollution, mankind created a gigantic supercomputer and named it Noah. * Customize each vehicle's appearance with an assortment of parts * Gamble to win big money and special items in 12 different mini-games * Gather resources to build weapons and vehicle upgrades * Fight inside vehicles to battle mechanical bees, cyborgs, and other robotic enemies * Open-ended role-playing game with more than 800 events and quests to complete Twelve mini-games are included as a bonus, allowing players to win money or items in between the estimated 40+ hours of adventuring. The developers have also added a playful sense of humor to the seemingly serious storyline, as players command the "dogs of war," canines with bazookas strapped to their backs, and use remote-controlled devices for comic effect. Players can use scrap metal from defeated enemies to forge their own items, and outfit their vehicles with enhanced weapons, engines, and armor. Metal Saga features more than 800 events and quests in total, as well as an assortment of customization options. Once players reach town, they are free to converse with the locals, receive optional quests, and view a list of bounties to collect. Combat against rival machines primarily occurs inside vehicles such as tanks, with each side alternating turns and issuing commands via menus in classic console role-playing game fashion. To that end, play involves traveling to different towns and villages amidst the post-apocalyptic wasteland that serves as the game’s backdrop. Players assume the role of an unnamed human survivor, who vows to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a hunter. While Noah was eventually defeated by the remnants of humanity known as hunters, robots still overrun the land and threaten what is left of civilization. I would ballpark 1/4 of games are CD size, 2/3 will fit on a single layer DVD, and the remaining would need a dual layer with only a tenth, maybe less, of that using a majority of the dual layer's available space.Ĥ.33 GB 1st/ 4.Metal Saga is a futuristic role-playing game that finds the world ruled by a sentient supercomputer called Noah and its mechanized minions. It slowed the PS2 down a bit, but ran fine on 20GB & 60GB PS3s.įor the PS2 game size, most of the stuff is going to average 1-2GB, because the PS2 Dual layer support was crap for half of its life, and dual layer was a more expensive medium anyways. It was the one that you had to hold certain buttons and got different colored text to pop up at the start of the game. Kinda feel iffy using less data but o well its there work of doing so.Remember GOWII also has a hidden Super 480p mode for HDTVs.
